This asymmetrical Italian Renaissance style of architecture was popular 1890-1935. Notice the hipped roof with a projecting front wing. The entire house is stucco-wall-clad which was very much in favor 1910-1930’s. Full length first story windows with arches above, compliment the wide porch on the North side of the house. This porch also displays typical arched openings as well as projecting rafters which echo the front entrance. Notice that the original front entrance, is accented with small classical columns which mimic traditional Italian Architecture. This house was built in 1917 by Jennie and Wm. Elmer Stephenson who was involved with his father William M. Stephenson and brother Anderson Stephenson in the Model Flint Glass Factory, one of the five tableware glass factories 1888 to late 1893.
